Time is Coming Close

Age

What is it?

A number connected to a date.

Is it how the ice cold prison,

Sees us.

Maybe it means nothing.

If time’s a construction,

Then age is the same.

They say life never stops.

I know nothing in life ever lives

Forever.

That’s what the world says.

What they don’t say,

Is that it never really dies.

What you do continues,

Long after.

I try to leave my mark,

The mark of a true legend a beast.

Ha, I laugh because there is no need to try.

The mark is here.

My mark, your mark, their legacy.

We have it with us, and where we

Walk.

Age is nothing.

Age, it turns on us.

But the mark we have,

Stands by us, even after

We are gone.

So don’t complain about your

Age.

Leave the mark,

It’s more than a start.

End

For me the end is near.

Not the end of life, but

My time here.
