Where Student Activity Fee Money Goes

As a part of Frostburg State University’s tuition and fees schedule, undergraduate students are charged with a student activities fee that funds various student groups and events on campus.

For fiscal year 2015, full time students were charged $316, and part time students were charged a flat fee of $25. In the current academic year, FSU enrolled 4,228 full time students and 687 part time students for a total of 4,915 undergraduate students. FSU students in the online nursing program and students attending USM at Hagerstown are not charged the activities fee.

Dr. Thomas Bowling, vice president for student affairs and interim-president, is responsible for allocating the student activities fee money. In an email to The Bottom Line, Bowling listed the rates for full time and part time students. These rates are listed below.
