Athlete– Patrick Duggan 

Sport– Men’s Rugby

When and why did you start playing rugby- “I started playing when I came to Frostburg State University. However, I was practicing and teaching myself while I was at community college because I wanted to be on the rugby team when I transferred.” 

What do you look forward to most while playing this season- “This season I look forward to being part of a team and doing everything that comes with it like practices, games, traveling, and socials.”

Advice for people who want to join rugby– “My advice would be to reach out to us now! We want you to be part of our team. Everyone has a place on the rugby pitch. No matter how athletic, non-athletic, big, small, tall, or short you are, we want you to play rugby with us.”

When and why did you start playing rugby- “ I started playing rugby this spring season because I wanted to do something to keep me active as well as compete against other colleges!”

What do you look forward to most while playing this season- “This season I am looking forward to building the program up even more. It’s one of the oldest programs on campus and I feel it has the ability to be one of the most successful yet again.”

Advice for people who want to join rugby- “ My advice would be that if anyone wants to join the rugby team I recommend contacting the coach or anyone you know on the team! Anyone and everyone is welcome to come and watch practices to see what the sport is all about.”
