Frostburg Women’s Lacrosse is on a Winning Streak
The Frostburg Women’s Lacrosse team has an 8-6 record so far this season. They are 6-1 in conference play and are on a 7 game winning streak. At the start of the semester, they started their season losing the first 5 games. They only lost by a couple goals for each game, but their luck slowly turned around. They won their sixth game, but then lost again the game after. The Bobcats then began their winning streak. The Bobcats have one game left this season which will take place Saturday April 30th and 4:00 P.M. This is the women’s senior night and last game before playoffs begin.
Throughout the season the ladies had many accomplishments besides their winning record. This season, Lindsay Kohlman surpassed 150 career draw controls and got her 100th career point. Stephanie King got her 200th career point. Both these ladies earned player of the week in the Mountain East Conference for 2 weeks. Also, Nicole Gray and Lilly Stephens earned player of the week.
The Bobcats had a stellar season and will hopefully win games in the Mountain East Conference playoffs. Last year, the ladies made it to the championship, but fell short to Notre Dame(Ohio). This year, the Bobcats lost to Notre Dame 8-22. But, played them again and beat them 13-12.
