Frostburg Women’s Soccer Wins Again
The Frostburg Women’s soccer team played three games this week. The first game took place last Sunday, October 3, 2021. The Bobcats played Davis and Elkins at home and finished with a score of 3-0. Two goals were scored by Carolyn DeSena and one was scored by Alexis Pate. DeSena scored her first collegiate goal during this game and also won Mountain East Conference player of the week. DeSena also took the role of Frostburg’s player of the week.
On Wednesday, October 6, the Bobcats played at home against West Virginia Wesleyan. The score was 3-1 and goals were scored by Audra Curtin, Keely Knotts, and a goal that was deflected off of a Wesleyan player. Knotts scored her first collegiate goal at this game.
The last game of the week was played away at Glenville State College. The score was also 3-0 and Mackenzie Alonso scored her first collegiate goal here. The other two goals were scored by Lela Clark and Keely Knotts. The Bobcats advance their record to 8-2-1 for the 2021 season.
