Crime Lines 10/05/2021 – 10/11/2021

10/05/2021 – Assist Other Agency – Officer responded to the Outback Bar in Frostburg regarding a request to assist FPD with a disturbance at the bar FPD made an arrest of a non-student.

10/06/2021 Traffic Accident – While on patrol, Officers observed a student back into another student’s vehicle while parking at Edgewood Commons. Contact was made with the students and information exchange forms were completed.

10/06/2021 Assist Other Agency – While patrolling on Center Street, Officers overheard the fire department alert for an ambulance assist on Center Street for a stroke patient. Frostburg Fire Department and Allegany County EMS arrived on scene and began treatment of the non-FSU subject.

10/06/2021 False Statement – An FSU student made a written statement on a parking appeal form she was accompanied by a disabled person in which the vehicle she was driving which was issued a citation for parking in handicap space. Ocularis system was reviewed where it was seen the driver was the only occupant in the vehicle. No one else exits or enters the vehicle that was driven and parked by the complainant on this occasion up to the time of the issued citation. A report was forwarded to student services for referral.

10/06/2021 Assault – Officers responded to Edgewood Commons for a report of an altercation that occurred outside, parties separated. Upon arrival contact was made with the two students involved who declined medical attention. Subjects were informed of how to obtain a protective order from District Court and how to apply for charges for assault. Subjects were advised not to have contact with each other. Judicial Board referral submitted.

10/06/2021 Narcotics Complaint – Officers were dispatched to Cumberland Hall for a report of marijuana paraphernalia. Complaint was unfounded.

10/07/2021 CDS Complaint – Officers were dispatched to Brownsville for discovery of CDS paraphernalia during a fire inspection. Paraphernalia was collected and transported to FSU police headquarters for evidence processing and storage. A judicial board referral was submitted.

10/08/2021 Hit & Run – An FSU student contacted HQ stating she believed someone hit her vehicle in the Pullen Lot. Investigation and review of cameras indicate the damage was from a prior unknown event. Case suspended.

10/08/2021 Request for Officer – Officers responded to Frederick Hall regarding possible paraphernalia found during a health and safety check. The paraphernalia was transported to HQ. The smoking device was legal for the student to have on campus; however, nothing could be smoked in the device on campus grounds. The device was returned to the student and advised of what had occurred. J-Board submitted.

10/10/2021 Assist Other Agency – (FPD) At the request of FPD, FSUPD responded to Wood Street for a possible disturbance. Parties were gone upon arrival. No students were involved.

10/10/2021 Assist Other Agency – (FPD) Officers observed FPD on a traffic stop at College Avenue and Center Street as they were conducting Standard Field Sobriety Tests. Back up was provided for safety reasons. FPD issued citations for offenses relating to not enough seatbelts/unrestrained occupants.

10/10/2021 Request for Officer – Headquarters was notified to a possible firearms complaint on campus from a parent of a student residing at Brownsville Hall. Based on the information provided an administrative search was conducted. A BB gun and a pocketknife was confiscated by the Officers. The FSU student was advised that he would be able to retrieve the items in the future to remove them from campus. Confiscated items were placed into FSUPD property. J- Board submitted.

10/11/2021 Request for Officer – An anonymous female contacted headquarters to report a woman passed out or sleeping in a running vehicle in the Guild Lot. Contact was made and the female subject was ok.

Summary period includes 164 calls for service and 3 traffic stops.
