NBA Pacific Division: Mid Season Report

The first half of the regular season and all-star break is over, and the trade deadline has been past. Teams in the Pacific division is looking to get in a spot in the play-in tournament, and a spot in the playoffs.

Golden State Warriors

Record: 22-24

PPG: Stephen Curry 29.0

RPG: Draymond Green 6.4

APG: Draymond Green 8.4

The Warriors have been up and down during the season. Injuries on Stephen Curry, James Wiseman, and Draymond Green has hurt the team for the games that the players missed. Curry who missed most of last season because of an injured left hand which required surgery is still playing like a superstar and showing no slow.

This team can get into a playoff spot or a play in. Even doe they have their struggles they are playing well without Klay Thompson; it is showing that when Klay returns next season this team is a playoff team.

Los Angeles Lakers

Record: 30-17

PPG: Lebron James 25.4

RPG: Lebron James 7.9

APG: Lebron James 7.9

The defending champion Lakers are looking extremely good this season. But one bad thing that has been happening to this team is injuries. Anthony Davis have not played since February 14th with an Achilles injury, but his return is close. Lebron James will miss 3 to 5 weeks for a high ankle sprain.

The great news is that Andre Drummond has signed with the Lakers so that will help them with the two superstars hurt. This team will be dangerous when Lebron and AD return.

Loa Angeles Clippers

Record: 31-16

PPG: Kawhi Leonard 26.0

RPG:  Ivica Zubac 7.2

APG: Paul George 5.5

This team is looking from starting lineup to bench.  Kawhi and PG13 looking amazing as a duo and both defending great.  Nicolas Batum is a great pickup from free agency who is defending good and playing his role really good. Losing Harrell and getting Ibaka is basically one of their best moves from the offseason. They picked up Rondo on the trade deadline from the Hawks, having Patrick Beverley and Rondo on the same team is amazing. This team are looking like contenders, but will Paul George show up when that time comes.

Sacramento Kings

Record: 21-25

PPG: De’Aaron Fox 24.8

RPG: Richaun Holmes 8.9

APG: De’Aaron Fox 7.3

The Kings are looking pretty good this season and can fight for a playoff spot or a play in spot. De’Aaron Fox is looking amazing and showing that he can be an all-star. Their starting lineup is giving him good support especially off the bench like rookie Tyrese Haliburton who is averaging 13.1 points. For a young team is like we can see that they have a future when everybody develops.

Phoenix Suns

Record: 31-14

PPG: Devin Booker 25.1

RPG: Deondre Ayton 11.0

APG: Chris Paul 8.5

This Suns are looking fantastic and is a very serious contender. Chris Paul addition was a big impact for these young players to get into the next level. They never really had this floor separation, this is why CP3 is called a “Point Guard”. Devin Booker is doing what he does best and that is getting buckets. Deondre Ayton is being a good big man but his still not in his prime which is scary.

Hope that this team stay healthy because the Suns and the Jazz are two surprising teams who currently have the 1 and 2 seed in the West.
