Theatre Senior Spotlight: Lanae Wilks
Most Memorable Show/Performance at FSU: Alabama Story. I had the opportunity to work with such a big cast and crew of amazing people. I had the chance to work with non-students of FSU and learned many things from each and every one.
What I Will Miss Most: The entire department. Everyone is so full of life, and the faculty are so inspiring. I have encountered so many different personalities, and I’m not sure how fun my four years of college would have been without them.
Favorite Part of Theatre: The process of the show. The collaboration between students and staff and their ideas are always great to hear. The process of a show is not simple, but it is about patience and communication.
Advice to Underclassmen: Put yourself out there. The professors want you to be the best you can be, and they’re going to push you harder then you push yourself. If you want to work a show, ask Gordon. If you want to try costuming, ask Michelle. If you want to know about the world of theatre, ask Marizy. All of these wonderful professors are willing to help you become a better you!
