Crime Lines 4/28/2020 – 5/04/2020 

04/28/2020  Suspicious –  While on patrol in the Arboretum,  officers located a children’s bike, green in color, lying next to the stream that runs through the Arboretum. It should be noted the water was high and moving at an accelerated pace due to the rainfall.  Officers conducted a foot patrol alongside the stream with negative results.  A second children’s bike, pink in color, was located approximately 30 yards away from the stream.  A foot patrol of the path was conducted inside the arboretum, and two children were located, accompanied by their parents.

04/29/2020  Assist Other Agency  (FPD)  – Officers assisted FPD with a disturbance call on Beall Street.  FSUPD stood by while FPD conducted the investigation.

05/01/2020  Assist Other Agency  (FPD) – Officers assisted FPD in searching for a stolen vehicle.  The vehicle was located near B&B Meats.  

05/01/2020  Assault On Police – An injury to an officer occurred while assisting another agency while locating the stolen vehicle.  The officer was struck with a vehicle, no lost time. The suspect (non-student) was later apprehended by a Sheriff’s Deputy.  Charges were preferred by the Deputy.    

05/02/2020  Suspicious – While conducting a patrol check in the Arboretum, an Officer observed a vehicle on the gravel access road.  The gravel road is closed, open only to service vehicles.  The subjects advised they were Alumni and were visiting the memorial statue in the arboretum.  The subjects were escorted from the arboretum.

05/02/2020  Assist Other Agency –  (FPD) Officers assisted FPD on Mechanic Street at Bowery for a disturbance.  After arriving on the scene, officers observed a male in the street yelling at passing vehicles.  The subject (non-student) was checked for weapons.  FPD arrived on scene and took over the investigation. 

05/03/2020  Suspicious – Officers responded to the area of University Drive for a suspicious vehicle complaint.  The complainant advised seeing an individual using binoculars looking in the direction of the Arboretum.  After a check of the area, it was determined the vehicle was GOA. 

05/04/2020  Bicycle Complaint –  Complaint came into HQ regarding two subjects riding bicycles and doing jumps at the Bobcat Statute.  Officers responded with a description that was obtained from the video system however the subjects were not located.  A campus-wide patrol was conducted without the two individuals that were observed on the video system being located.

 

The summary period includes 106 calls for service and no traffic stops.
