NBA Finals: Heat

The NBA Finals this year is Miami Heat vs the LA Lakers. Miami’s story this year is something to behold. With the new addition of Jimmy Butler, Kendrick Nunn, Ducan Robinson, and Tyler Herro this year, the Heat were expecting to have a competitive year with playoff aspirations.

In the middle of the season a little prior to the postponement of NBA games due to the coronavirus, they played some of their best basketball. With the entire team making an impact.

When the season resumed with the NBA bubble, they continued their stretch of great basketball and going into the postseason. From the start of the postseason up until the finals the Heat have run through every competitor that they faced. When playing the Indiana Pacers in the first round, they swept them in four games. Even though the Pacers were swept every single game went down to the wire.

In the next round they faced the Milwaukee Bucks, who had 2-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo leading them. Sports analysts  had this series going to seven games, but the heat proved doubters wrong by beating them in five games. In the conference finals against the Boston Celtics, the Heat had a tough opposition ahead of them with Boston’s quartet of Jason Tatum, Kemba Walker, Jaylen Smith, and Gordon Hayward.

It was a dog fight that ended in the Heat winning in six games.  Now the Heat are in the championship game against a Lebron James led LA Lakers. Currently the LA Lakers are up 2-0 against the Heat. The Miami Heat Were Hot. Now They're Hurting. - The New York Times

Anthony Davis and Lebron James have dominated the first two games. Dwight Howard has also had a big impact, and all eyes are turning to game 3.
