In a campus-wide email today, Dr. Artie Travis, Vice President for Student Affairs, announced that Ms. Robin Wynder has been promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. “I write to advise you of one of my key changes in my reorganization of the Division of Student Affairs. It is with a great deal of pride and my privilege to announce that after a review of my leadership positions in the Division, I have moved the supervision of Ms. Robin Wynder to report directly to me,” he writes in the email.

The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of Vice President Dr. Artie Travis, Associate Vice President Dr. Jeff Graham, Assistant Vice President for Student and Community Involvement Bill Mandicott, and Dean of Students Carl Crowe. Ms. Wynder is the only female Assistant Vice President in the division.

Ms. Jenica Braxton is a 2002 alum of Frostburg State University. She returned to FSU as a staff member in 2019.

Ms. Robin Wynder previously served as the Director of the Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. As she moves into her new role as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Travis says in his email that she will continue to serve as the chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for the university.

In addition to Ms. Wynder’s position, Jenica Braxton will join the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a Program Management Specialist. Ms. Braxton previously served as a Coordinator for the VISTA Afterschool Program.

“Ms. Wynder has been a great asset to the campus in her current role and this change will expand her ability to make diversity, equity and inclusion even more focused as we MOVE FORWARD this term and in the semesters to follow,” says Dr. Travis, continuing, “I wish to thank Dr. Jeff Graham for his outstanding support and supervision of Ms. Wynder over the last few years, and I appreciate the support that I have received from Mr. William Mandicott for allowing the transfer to occur for Ms. Braxton.”

Dr. Travis ended his email saying, “We are one university where we have a world of diverse experiences.” Ms. Wynder and Ms. Braxton have been, and will continue to be, incredible assets to the Frostburg State community.
