Crime Line 4/7 – 4/13

4/7/16 Sex Offense – Other: Officers responded to WMRMC for a reported sex offense involving an FSU student.  Investigation will be handled by the Allegany County C3I unit. RLO Coordinator & Title X Office notified.  Student Affairs was aware of the incident earlier in the day and the perpetrator has been suspended.

4/8/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the Welsh Hill Apartments to assist Frostburg City Police with a disturbance. The individual was told to leave the premises.

4/8/16 Theft: A student reported that on April 7, 2016 or April 8, 2016 an unknown person(s) gained entry into her vehicle and removed some property. The investigation is continuing.

4/8/16 Request for Officer: Officers responded to the upper parking lot of Edgewood Commons for a suspicious person looking into parked vehicles.  Officers continued to conduct patrol checks of Edgewood and Sand Springs Lot.

4/9/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to the parking lot of City Place to assist Frostburg City Police with a possible disturbance call. The subjects were advised to leave the area and FCP provided the male with directions and escorted him to the interstate.

4/9/16 Assist Other Agency: FSUPD Officers assisted Frostburg City Police who were conducting a traffic stop on Broadway St. @ Mechanic St., Frostburg.

 4/9/16 Request for Officer: Officers responded to the second floor (men’s wing) of Cumberland Hall, for a reported CDS complaint. Upon arrival, officers conducted a check of the entire second floor of the building but were unable to detect an odor of CDS.

4/10/16 Hit & Run: Officers responded to Cumberland Hall Lot (next to Westminster Hall) for a reported hit-and-run. The investigation is continuing.

4/10/16 Assist Other Agency: Officers responded to Bobcat Court, Apt. to assist Frostburg City Police with a noise complaint.  A civil citation was issued for the violation by Frostburg City Police.

4/10/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers responded to Frederick Hall for a report of the odor of burnt marijuana. As a result of the investigation a judicial board referral was submitted.

4/10/16 Assist Other Agency: Caller reported three male subjects were possibly breaking into a beige vehicle on E. College Avenue, Frostburg. Frostburg City Police were notified to respond. Upon arrival, subjects were gone.

4/10/16 Traffic Arrest/Drug Law Violation: While patrolling E. College Ave., Frostburg, officers noticed a green Jeep Compass traveling North on University Dr. As the vehicle came to the intersection of University Dr. and College Ave, the driver proceeded through the intersection and turned right onto College Ave., failing to stop at the stop sign. As a result of the stop the driver was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana more than 10 grams, and transported to Frostburg City Police Department.

4/11/16 Assist Other Agency: Frostburg City Police requested FSUPD respond to Bobcat Court as a result of an assault that occurred at 127 Wood St. Officers along with Allegany County Sherriff’s Department remained in the area for approximately 45 minutes before clearing. 11/16

4/11/16 Request for Officer: Gray Hall RA reported the smell of marijuana in the 2nd floor lounge, but no subjects in area. Officers responded and reported the same.

11/16 Theft: Student reported she took a Bayrunner Shuttle from BWI Airport to FSU yesterday. At some point between BWI and FSU on many numerous stops, her bag was stolen. The bag was described as an FSU Cheerleader bag containing a MacBook Pro, a text book, and various clothing items.

4/11/16 Notification: Parent notified FSUPD that her son was robbed at gun point a few streets over from Wood St., Frostburg. According to the parent, she advised that her son told her that the incident occurred today at approximately 1640 hours. The C3I unit is investigating the case.

4/12/16 Theft: A Westminster Hall student reported his PS4, the connection wires, and two controllers were missing from his room. The investigation is continuing.

4/12/16 Request for Officer: Diehl Hall Resident Assistant stated the odor of suspected marijuana was evident in the building. Officers checked the building and determined the odor was that of tobacco, not marijuana. The Resident Assistant stated they have had problems with people smoking in the restrooms.

4/12/16 Drug Law Violation: Officers were dispatched to Edgewood Commons for a report of an odor of suspected marijuana. Upon arrival, contact was made with the Resident Assistant who advised she detected an odor of marijuana in the hallway on the 2nd floor. Officers responded to the second floor and detected a moderate odor of burnt marijuana in the east hallway. During the initial investigation, officers were unable to determine the source of the odor.

4/12/16 Request for Officer: Student reported her laptop was stolen from room 235, CCIT Building. Victim stated she got up and left the room for a few minutes and when she returned her property was gone.

4/12/16 Request for Officer: Officers responded to Diehl Hall for a report of suspected marijuana odor. Upon arrival, contact was made with the Resident Assistant who stated she had checked the area and could not smell any marijuana. Officers also checked the area and did not locate any problems.
