Crime Lines 09/07/2021 – 09/13/2021

09/07/2021 Disabled Vehicle – An FSU Student came into HQ to report he parked his vehicle in Annapolis Lot and lost the keys. A Disabled Vehicle form was issued to be moved by 09/14/21.

09/07/2021 Damage to Property – Head Baseball Coach contacted UPD to report damage to a vehicle from a flyaway ball. An FSU student was driving Northbound on University Drive when a baseball landed on the right front windshield area smashing the glass, but not shattering it.

09/07/2021 Assist Other Agency – FSUPD assisted Frostburg Fire Department with a training drill that they were conducting at Cambridge Hall.

09/09/2021 Assist Other Agency (FPD) – Officers responded to Paul Street to assist FPD in searching for a female subject that could be involved in a disturbance. She was not located. FSUPD stayed on scene until another FPD unit arrived.

09/09/2021 Narcotics Complaint – Officers responded to Annapolis Hall for a narcotics complaint, for a strong odor. Upon contacting the subject, they denied a consent search.

09/10/2021 Assault/Dating Violence – Contact was made with the FSU student who advised earlier in the day he got into an argument with his girlfriend, attempted to grab her phone, and accidentally pushed her and she fell to the ground. Officers also contacted the female FSU student involved in the incident. She advised she did not want to file any criminal charges.

09/11/2021 Noise Complaint – Headquarters received a noise complaint regarding a vehicle playing loud music in the Frost Hall parking lot. Contact was made with the individual, an FSU student, who was inside the vehicle with the loud music. He immediately turned the noise off.

09/11/2021 Assist other Agency (FPD) – While officers were on routine patrol, the officers overheard FPD call out over the radio a traffic stop where the operator was not yielding and actively fleeing and eluding police. A moment later it was heard the vehicle had crashed and FPD needed assistance as they had three (3) individuals detained. Subjects involved were not FSU students.

09/11/2021 Disturbance – Officers responded to Cumberland Hall for a complaint of hearing screaming in the hall. Contact was made with the individuals in the room in question. The advised there was a verbal argument due to getting locked out of a room. One individual was escorted from the room and advised to leave the hall. Two students were referred to the judicial board.

Summary period includes 171 calls for service and 7 Traffic Stops.
